The palate cleanser as it is named aptly, is a space that exists between two retail
spaces. The intent of the space is to forget about the previous one before entering the
next. Its purpose is much like inhaling coffee between two perfumes.
The sharp silver conical projections from the wall, ceiling, and floor heighten your
senses, your adrenaline starts to pump, your eyes dilate with the changing light , your
ears perk beat, and you inhale the Joe Malone. You feel like you want to touch as your
body meanders around these cones, but something tell you not to. But you do. To find
out the sharpness is just a deception. The cones are made with foam, a material one
closely asscociates with furniture. Mirrors create Infinity and silver PU on the wall looks
molten, as if the cones are coming from or melting into it. This sculptural illusion is a
simple Installation to snap you back into the moment. To be present. To be cognisant
with all your senses. To be alive.
