The concept of the Break Bounce store is a fusion of opposites. While it is grungy and almost unfinished in it’s choice of materials – MDF and Cement board – it is stylish and refined in design and finish of those same materials. Keeping in mind that the products need to be the main highlights, the colors chosen were the muted and neutral brown of the MDF and the natural army grey-green of the cement board. Design is straight-lined repetition of slats to create multiplicity for aesthetics and functional storage. Highlights come from a lacquered vermillion paint, a rusted metal laminate and a old blue container. The overall color palette is subtle with bold highlights with an appeal to many, much like the Break Bounce product.
