The Goel residence is confluence of contemporary design and classical highlights. A juxtaposition of soft forms with clean straight lines used in an amorphous and geometric method sets the tone at the very onset. The intricate floor inlay is inspired by a vintage rug by Marion Don in the old photograph from the Claridges Hotel in London. The black and white marble lines lead you in, form an oval and go straight ahead to and join an art decor glass and metal door. Above, the ceiling is projected down in a form that partially mimics the flooring inlay. The combination of the intricacy below and the organic forms above creates a bold and dramatic statement. The moulded skirting with the classical doorframe add richness to the home and form a very specific and unique language for it.
